You Betta Swim

I think this work was inspired by M. C. Escher, and this is interesting in itself as it represents a follow-up of an old school in a modern digital era and evidences that the style not only survived this transition but, moreover, benefitted technically.
Both concept and rendition are very good. The chosen colors combination is noble and visually effective, especially the detail of alternating colors of the fish eye and body, and inverse gradients are appealing to me.
Mr. Escher considered his work not art but rather graphical science. I wonder how it would impact him if he had the Illustrator... <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>
